We at Vår Omtanke are now looking for a personal assistant who wants to work with our client in Stockholm, Rosersberg.

Who am I?

I am a soon-to-be 18-year-old girl who needs female assistants with big hearts. I have a severe multi-disability which means you will help me with everything in my daily life. I understand what you say, but I only communicate through sounds and facial expressions. For me to have a dialogue with you, it is important that you speak good Swedish.

I am a very happy girl, and you as my assistant should be creative and have a lot of energy, but also be able to be calm when needed. Since it takes time to get to know me and my routines, it is important that you see the work as long-term.

We are looking for someone who:

You should also have patience so that I have time to process what you say. I have medication-resistant epilepsy and a respiratory issue, which means I need your full focus at all hours of the day. I have many different aids such as orthoses, standing scales, ceiling lifts, inhalers, PEP, gastrostomy, cough machines, and suction devices. I also use oxygen sometimes.

We also want you to be smoke-free. We are only looking for women for this position and will therefore only respond to female applicants.

Due to dogs in the home, you cannot be allergic to fur animals.

Your tasks: 

Examples of your tasks include transfers, meals, personal hygiene, play, exercise, stretching, and massage. It is very important that you are a calm person who can help me feel safe, especially when I am not feeling well. Together with my mother, you will also be responsible for managing and giving me the medications I take every day. I want to be involved in most things concerning me, and therefore you need to be clear in your communication. I really enjoy music, singing, and playing the guitar, as well as reading books, playing games, swimming in the pool, horseback riding, going for walks, and making small excursions. I am a very happy girl, and you as my assistant should be creative and have a lot of energy, but also be able to be calm when needed.

Working hours and employment level:

We are looking for both full-time and part-time staff and substitutes. The working hours are during the day, but there are also night shifts available. We live a 10-minute walk from Rosersberg train station.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, other compensation according to collective agreement.

Start date: According to agreement
