Our mission is to create a safer and more sustainable way to live and reside by combining the latest IoT technology with Länsförsäkringar's 200 years of experience in helping customers take care of their homes. We are now looking for a Senior Legal Counsel focusing on data protection and contracts, who will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance as we shape the smart homes of the future!

Your Role.

As a Senior Legal Counsel at Alf, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring that our operations meet legal requirements. At Alf, you will have the opportunity to integrate your legal expertise into product development and make data protection a natural part of our operations. As we continuously develop new exciting solutions for the smart home, managing risks associated with personal data processing will be a central part of your duties. This includes providing support in the development of risk analyses, impact assessments, as well as conducting independent investigations regarding data protection issues and being responsible for managing any personal data incidents.

Providing training and support to other employees will be an important part of your duties, and you will also be the main contact for our parent companies and distributors in these matters. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing contracts with external suppliers and partners, as well as leading the work to create and ensure compliance with internal governing documents.

Who We Are Looking For.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in legal work related to data protection and contract law, preferably with a background as a corporate lawyer and advisor. You have documented experience in leading data protection efforts within an organization, even without a formal team under you.

You have a deep understanding of GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation, as well as a strong ability to review, negotiate, and draft commercial agreements.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A deep understanding and genuine interest in GDPR and data protection.

• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues and find suitable solutions.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain legal concepts in an understandable way to individuals without a legal background.
• We consider it a strong merit if you have experience from scaleups within tech and/or IoT.
