Licensed Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist Wanted for Rehabilitation Unit
Are you a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist who enjoys a varied job where you can broaden your skills? Then you might be the one we are looking for at the Rehabilitation Unit.
Job Responsibilities
As a physiotherapist with us, you will have a diverse job as we work with both inpatient and outpatient care. Within inpatient care, we have physiotherapists on all departments. This includes assessment and rehabilitation of function, equipment review, assessment prior to care planning, and contact with municipalities within the catchment area. In outpatient care, most patients come to us from specialist clinics in Köping and Västerås, primarily the Orthopedic Clinic.
About the Workplace
At the Rehabilitation Unit, there are currently 11 physiotherapists/physical therapists. We also have occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, nursing assistants, and nurses working with us. We often work in teams. You will be welcomed into a positive environment characterized by openness and participation. We operate in all departments of the hospital and work on an outpatient basis with orthopedics, neurology, and rheumatology. We offer inpatient rehabilitation for stroke and geriatrics and conduct individual and group therapy in various areas.
The clinic has a 24-hour emergency department and four care wards. Here you will find a cardiac intensive care unit, dialysis unit, medical outpatient clinic with day medicine, advanced home care, and the rehabilitation unit.
Västmanlands Hospital Köping is highly skilled in stroke care and ranks at the top in national comparisons. In 2021, the stroke department at Köping Hospital received an award from Riksstroke for excellent stroke care. We have also received six awards previously, two of which were for being Sweden's best stroke unit. We continue to develop and maintain our knowledge and commitment to improving care.
The hospital is also very close to the train station, just a three-minute walk away. Commuting options to Köping are good. Train Örebro – Köping 33 min, Västerås – Köping 17 minutes, Eskilstuna – Köping 54 minutes.
