If you want a varied and stimulating job at our clinic, which is part of the transition to Close Care in Västmanland, then this job is for you.
Welcome to a workplace that is facing an exciting time of development!
About the workplace
Close Care East operates in both Sala and Västerås. The clinic provides close care by meeting the residents' needs for basic internal medicine specialist care, specialized palliative care, advanced home care via the AH team, and qualified rehabilitation efforts as well as mobile care teams in collaboration with the municipalities' home care.
In Sala, there is a close care department - ward 1, an AH team, and a care team, a medicine reception, and a rehabilitation unit - the rehabilitation unit.
In Västerås, the clinic is tasked with running a close care department in Västerås (NÄVA). There is a specialized palliative department, a palliative advisory team, an AH team, and a care team.
At the Rehabilitation Unit, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, and rehabilitation assistants work. We provide rehabilitation resources to all our units in Sala but also have a physiotherapy reception and team-based outpatient care. We work from a person-centered approach.
Job responsibilities
You will primarily work in our care department, which has 16 care places focused on medicine, geriatrics, rehabilitation, and palliative care. You will work in a team around the patients together with a physiotherapist, nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. You will meet patients in various functional areas, but most will be in stroke rehab, orthopedic rehab, multi-sick elderly who need interventions, and palliative care.
The work includes standard occupational therapy tasks such as ADL assessments/training, cognitive assessments/training, mobility training, assistive device management and prescription, home visits, and simpler housing adaptations.
We have a close collaboration with the municipality's rehab team. The work also includes supervising students. You may also be part of our AH team, advanced home care, where you, together with a physiotherapist, are responsible for rehabilitative interventions and assistive device prescriptions at home or in our outpatient team where we receive patients in outpatient care who need team-based rehabilitation and follow-up.
We offer you
- to create good care for our patients together with colleagues
- a workplace with a good working environment with opportunities for participation, influence, and professional development
- to participate in the work towards a more digitized operation, for example, we work with mobile journals. This means that all staff in the department work and communicate via iPads in a mobile system called Cosmic Nova

We also value if you have an interest or experience in business development and digitization.
You who apply are a secure and stable person. We see that you take responsibility for your tasks by structuring and driving your work forward. You are flexible and can quickly change your approach to adapt to new circumstances when the situation requires it. Furthermore, you communicate clearly while being attentive to patients' different needs. Since you will be working in a team, we see that you have good collaboration skills, where you relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
