Responsibilities

As a nurse, you will be responsible for a care team on the ward, nursing care, as well as tasks such as caring conversations, assessments, health checks, medication management, and documentation. The work involves collaboration in a team with different professions. In certain individual cases, medical technical tasks may also be relevant.

About the Workplace

In forensic psychiatric inpatient care, you are welcomed to a highly specialized care service where you, as a nurse, play an important role. Here, you work in a team together with other professional categories such as caregivers, psychologists, therapists, and doctors with the patient in focus.

The forensic psychiatric care in Västmanland is located in Sala. The forensic psychiatric regional clinic in Västmanland is a highly specialized operation with approximately 160 employees. The four inpatient wards have 55 care places. After inpatient care, treatment often transitions to forensic psychiatric outpatient care with specific conditions, and an outpatient team is available at the clinic. Our patient group consists of both residents of Västmanland and patients from outside the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in psychiatric care. We would prefer that you have a specialist education in psychiatry. If you have previous experience in forensic psychiatric care, addiction care, psychosis care, and/or neuropsychiatry, we consider this an advantage.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Since the work can change in various ways, you need to be flexible and able to maintain your calm and focus in new situations. You have a good ability to structure your work independently and take responsibility for your tasks as well as lead the staff group. We work in teams and see collaboration and clarity as very important ingredients for success.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time. Scheduled working hours, rotation. Start date by agreement.
