The Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's childcare and educational activities from preschool and after-school care to preschool class, primary school, and adapted school.

We are now looking for substitute teachers for Askersund preschools. As a substitute in preschool, we offer you a varied job where you meet competent colleagues and wonderful children, and you play an important role in creating a safe and learning environment.

Askersund preschools consist of 12 preschools in 8 locations: Askersund, Hammar, Olshammar, Rönneshytta, Snavlunda, Zinkgruvan, Åmmeberg, and Åsbro.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities mainly consist of practical and pedagogical work to stimulate children's development, safety, and learning. The work is based on the preschool curriculum and other governing documents that regulate the activities. As a substitute, you follow the day's schedule and, together with the staff, structure the day so that it is safe and educational for the children.

QUALIFICATIONS

We need you when the regular staff is sick, on vacation, or otherwise absent. As a substitute, you can be booked at short notice on the days you have indicated you are available to work. This can include bookings for shorter or longer assignments. You enter your available times in TimeCarePool. When you are booked, you will receive a notification via SMS with information about where and when you will work. For this to work, you must have a mobile phone so we can offer you work. The job can be combined with studies or other activities.

We are looking for someone who:
• has a pedagogical education such as a preschool teacher degree or other educational qualifications that the employer considers equivalent. Ongoing studies in preschool education or teacher programs and experience within our activities are advantageous.
• has completed secondary education.
• is at least 18 years old.
• masters the Swedish language in speech and writing in a way that allows you to communicate with children, staff, and relatives.
• has a B driver's license (access to a personal vehicle is an advantage but not a requirement).

To work in preschool, you must, by law, submit an extract from the police's criminal record.
