About the Position
As a support assistant at Hagabyvägen 2, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on daily work. Here you meet active service recipients who enjoy participating in various activities, both outdoors and indoors. You provide support to service recipients both in group housing and in regular housing. Together with your colleagues, you offer tailored pedagogical support that creates conditions for a meaningful, independent, and developing life – in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL).
In your role, you provide individual support in daily life, which can involve everything from personal care to accompanying activities and excursions. Your work is based on each person's needs, goals, and conditions, focusing on strengthening the individual's ability to influence their own life. You also have case responsibility, which means you are responsible for planning around a number of service recipients. In your work, we use established methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Resource Group ACT (R-ACT), and Independent Living (ESL).

Examples of Job Responsibilities:
- support service recipients in daily activities at home and outside the home
- work with methods such as MI, R-ACT, and ESL
- perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc.
- perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
- plan and develop the work independently and together with the workgroup
- establish and follow goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the service recipients
- collaborate with relatives and others in the service recipient's network, nurses, occupational therapists, and other actors such as the region
- document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
- knowledge of and adherence to the organization's applicable laws, policies, and routines
About the Workplace
Hagabyvägen 2 is a group home located in the residential area of Hagaby in northern Örebro. The area is quiet and near Svampen and the natural area of Boglundsängen. In addition to the group home, we also support service recipients in their own homes, which we reach by car or bicycle.
The Social Services Department for Functional Support provides support and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications
As a support assistant with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet service recipients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You collaborate well with others but can also work independently and take initiative. You also adapt easily to changing circumstances and quickly adjust your approach. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the service recipient and other staff and document what the organization requires in writing. Good computer skills are also required for documentation.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- nursing assistant education or alternatively the child and leisure program (focus on pedagogical and/or social work)
- driver's license (B)
- ability to cycle
Meritorious:
- previous experience of Medvindsansvar
- knowledge and/or experience of working with individuals with borderline personality disorder
- experience working with individuals with mental disabilities
- experience documenting in operational systems
- experience with substance abuse issues
- training in R-ACT (Resource Group ACT)
- training in MI (Motivational Interviewing)
- training in ESL (Independent Living)
- training in low-affect approach
Scope and Start Date
Employment type: permanent position
Employment rate: 100%
Start date: by agreement
Number of positions: 2
Working hours: scheduled day, evening, and every third weekend (alternate weekends may occur)
