Job Advertisement: Support Pedagogue in Social Psychiatry

The Social Psychiatry Unit is organizationally part of IFO. The unit consists of two LSS accommodations and two SoL accommodations, a social psychiatric support accommodation, and a housing support group.

The unit consists of 45 employees. Gösta Berling A and B are our SoL accommodations focusing on dual diagnosis within the social psychiatry unit and consist of a total of 18 employees, of which 16 are support assistants and two are operational coordinators.

The work is scheduled, and you will work days, evenings, and nights if needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee, you work based on decisions made according to the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act as well as LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). You work in a team with support assistants in user-centered work to provide residents with a meaningful and functioning everyday life. This may involve support with cooking, hygiene, cleaning, laundry, contact with authorities, and leisure activities.

As a support pedagogue, you strive to preserve and develop the competencies of the residents in your purposeful work to increase their independence. You are confident in both your theoretical knowledge and work experience and can therefore contribute to the team's collective development in user-centered work. We expect you to bring knowledge and engagement that can inspire and guide colleagues. We want you to create a work climate where people can develop and learn from each other.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Driver's license B
• Vocational education as a support pedagogue or a university degree in behavioral science
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills and confidence in working with various digital systems

It is an advantage if you are trained in the MI method and have experience working in social psychiatry or with target groups that have mental health issues.

To work closely with users and patients, you must submit a criminal record extract from the police. You must request the extract from the National Police Board using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" available on the police website.
