Treatment Pedagogue at SiS LVM Home Runnagården
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. With us at SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS LVM home Runnagården receives women with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept women with mental health issues as well as aggressive women with violent behavior. We also accept women undergoing medication-assisted treatment (LARO).
Job Description
Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need.
We often meet people in crisis, which means you will be working with qualified care and motivational work, providing support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and assist in ensuring that daily life runs smoothly.
Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a schedule at night and include both weekdays and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values, being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time building relationships with clients as well as with others in the staff group. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You collaborate easily with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focusing on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent degree from a university
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Experience working in substance abuse care and compulsory care
- Training in care and nursing
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
- Experience from client-facing positions in the Prison and Probation Service, e.g., Correctional Officer

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probation period. Start date according to agreement.
