We are currently looking for you who want to be part of our wonderful team and work as a personal assistant in Örebro.

What does the position entail?

The client is a lovely 7-year-old girl who lives with her family in Örebro. She has autism, cerebral palsy, an intellectual disability, and is non-verbal. She uses a wheelchair and receives her nutrition via a feeding tube, which means that you as an assistant need to be comfortable working with both personal care and medical tasks.

As a personal assistant, you are an important part of the client's daily life. You help her at home with personal hygiene, dressing, tube feeding, transfers, and other daily routines. You are also present during play, habilitative training, calm activities, and walks. You contribute to creating safety, structure, and predictability in the client's life.

The work is close, practical, and requires both calmness and attentiveness.

Working hours vary but are mainly evenings and weekends.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is committed, self-driven, and attentive. We would like you to have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. It is a plus if you enjoy music and have an interest in body and movement. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you could be just the assistant we are looking for.

We would like you to:

• have a genuine interest in helping others.

• be able to understand and make yourself understood in Swedish.

• be able to work flexible hours - days, evenings, and weekends.

• have experience with autism.

• have experience working with feeding tubes.

• be able to use visual support and TAKK (sign language as an alternative, complementary communication).

• have experience in care and support (this is a plus but not a requirement).

Additional information

Employment type: fixed-term employment and on-call employment

Scope: approximately 45%, with possible extra shifts

Start date: 2026-01-01, or by agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
