The Women's Association Against Violence in Karlskoga/Degerfors is a religiously and politically independent organization, and its activities are based on feminist principles. We stand for zero tolerance against men's violence against women, girls, and children, and we strive for an equal and just society where everyone's equal value is in focus. The association aims to raise awareness and understanding among the population regarding all forms of men's violence against women, girls, and children through information and knowledge. Our activities consist of three parts: protected housing, outreach activities, and voluntary emergency services.

We are looking for a temporary employee for our protected housing

We are now seeking a new woman who wants to be part of our operations. It is essential that you support our values. You should be a flexible person who is ready to step in where needed. You should easily adapt to different people and situations and be able to prioritize your work. You need to be prepared to take responsibility and be able to work both independently and in a team. Your role as a temporary employee involves performing the tasks needed in the organization.

Job Responsibilities

We work with support and guidance for women and their children. We operate according to help for self-help and believe in women's capabilities.

Your role as a temporary employee is to be present at the housing and perform planned tasks. You will participate in play activities for resident children and carry out practical tasks.

Like other employees, you will participate in the daily work at our protected housing.

Qualifications

For the position, you are required to have an education in social work.

You should have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You should have very good computer skills.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

The job requires you to have a B driver's license.

Meritorious

• Experience in pedagogical work with children
• Experience in work against violence
• Language skills beyond Swedish
• Knowledge and experience from the non-profit sector
• Education in gender studies and about violence in close relationships
• Knowledge of low-arousal responses, trauma-informed care, etc.
