We are looking for substitute youth counselors for Nytida Öppenvård in Örebro.

Nytida's Öppenvård in Örebro consists of four youth counselors. We are part of the same operation as Karlstad where two employees work whom we collaborate with, have joint case discussions, workplace meetings, and supervision with. Within the operation, there is also a unit manager and an operations manager. We offer structured outpatient care and qualified contact person assignments as well as housing support in our training apartments. Our target group is children, adolescents, and young adults with psychosocial issues, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse, criminality, or other socially destructive behaviors or for individuals with protection needs. We will, under responsibility and with competence and participation, create good solutions for individual individuals and clients. Our efforts and our organization shall be characterized by care, commitment, and collaboration at all levels. Your mission As a youth counselor within Nytida's Öppenvård, you have close cooperation with all stakeholders around the youth; social services, healthcare, guardians/relatives, school staff, and possibly other important people around the youth. Your tasks may vary but are based on the client's and the youth's needs. The main task is to work closely with the youth to together achieve the goals in the implementation plan. All youth in our outpatient care live in supported housing, training apartments, or at home with their parents, which means that the work as a youth counselor is far from an office or institutional work.

The outpatient care is responsible for our training apartments where the youth may be placed. This means that some tasks are related to housing and ADL, where the goal is for the youth to become completely independent.

In the role of substitute youth counselor, you are responsible for: Documenting according to applicable legislation. Collaborating and cooperating with the youth's network. Collaborating with colleagues. Informing/feedback to your immediate manager. Working according to the company's goals and guidelines. The position is for a substitute and the working hours are scheduled on weekdays, during the day and to some extent in the evening based on the youth's needs.

Your qualifications

Your experience and knowledge We are looking for someone who has experience with the target group and similar work, training in MI, relapse prevention, substance abuse, and low-arousal approaches is advantageous. An academic degree in the behavioral sciences such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or another academic degree that is deemed equivalent is also advantageous, such as social pedagogue, treatment assistant. You see opportunities, have a positive outlook, and a strong commitment to people. The work requires that you are responsible, solution-oriented, and have personal maturity. You share your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues and see it as natural to contribute to a positive work environment. You appreciate varied tasks and working hours. Otherwise, you have good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. A valid driver's license (B) is required. You also need to have daily access to a car.
