About the Position
Hagabyvägen 4 is a group home with six senior service recipients. As a support assistant, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the daily work. The role includes both performing various activities and providing support in care. You will work with methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Resource Group ACT (R-ACT), and Independent Living (ESL) as well as based on the individual's needs in focus (IBIC).
Your main task is to work together with your colleagues to provide tailored educational support that contributes to a meaningful, independent, and developing life in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL). As a support assistant, you will support the service recipients in their daily lives. This support may include cooking, administering medication, or brushing someone's teeth. The support can also involve reminding, instructing, or motivating a service recipient to do things they can manage on their own. With us, we want to work with care and ensure that those we support feel a significant sense of participation and the ability to influence their own daily lives.
Examples of Tasks:
- Support the service recipient in daily activities/employment in an educational manner
- Perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
- Perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc.
- Collaborate with relatives and others in the service recipient's network, nurses, occupational therapists, and other actors such as the region
- Document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
- Establish and follow up on implementation plans
- Participate in workplace meetings and other meetings
About the Workplace
Hagabyvägen 4 is a group home located in the residential area of Hagaby. The area is quiet and near Svampen and the natural area of Boglundsängen.
The Social Services Department for Support Functions provides support and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications
As a support assistant with us, you should be a person who is not afraid to handle pressured situations, but can maintain calm and focus on the right things. You should also be good at collaborating in a group as well as working independently. It is important that you are a person with good self-awareness and who is secure in yourself. You are a good colleague who is attentive and accommodating to others in your environment. We are looking for someone who is interested and engaged. You are good at seeing what needs to be done and are not afraid to take initiative. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the service recipient and other staff as well as document what the organization requires in writing. Good computer skills are also necessary for documentation.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Certified nursing assistant education or equivalent childcare and leisure program (focus on educational and/or social work)
- Driver's license (B)
- Ability to cycle
Desirable:
- Previous experience with Medvindsansvar
- Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities
- Experience documenting in operational systems
- Experience in care
- Experience with substance abuse issues
- Training in R-ACT (Resource Group ACT)
- Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing)
- Training in ESL (Independent Living)
- Training in low-affective approach

Working hours: scheduled day, evening, and every other weekend
