The National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS youth home Bergsmansgården receives non-compulsory school girls. We operate in Fjugesta, thirty kilometers west of Örebro, and at a newly opened unit in Granhult, thirty kilometers north of Lindesberg. The girls placed with us are cared for under the law with special provisions on the care of young people (LVU) due to substance abuse, criminality, or socially destructive behavior.

Job Description

We are looking for a treatment coordinator for Brotorp, Fjugesta.

Do you want to help create life-changing differences for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment coordinator at SiS is a meaningful position. The starting point of our treatment work is to motivate people to adopt new and less destructive ways of living. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you have the opportunity to achieve good results. As a treatment coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You will conduct treatment conversations and have a special responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in the treatment. You will collaborate with various functions to map needs, establish, and follow up on treatment plans. The role of treatment coordinator also includes an additional responsibility to mentor new employees and interns. An important common task for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that safety at the institution is maintained according to procedures. The work can be demanding at times but is also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, are empathetic, and can build good relationships. You have strong communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as a treatment coordinator, you will have your own responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan as well as responsibilities in the department that require experience and the ability to coordinate that work. You need to be able to plan and structure your work, work independently, and take your own initiatives. As the treatment work is documented and communicated with various actors, high demands are placed on good Swedish in both speech and writing.

You should also have:

  • Relevant higher education, such as social worker, social pedagogue, or other healthcare/behavioral science education, or post-secondary education such as treatment pedagogue, with extensive experience in program activities.
  • Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually and/or in groups.
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Driver's license B

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
