Make a difference. Every day.

Welcome to the heart department in Malmö!

Here you thrive if you appreciate a workplace with a fast pace and short care times. With us, patients with various heart diseases are cared for, ranging from observations of suspected heart disease to advanced multi-morbidity. The patient clientele is broad, including both young and old.

The department consists of 35 care places divided into three medical flows: coronary, heart failure and valve, and arrhythmia. The department includes a coronary angiography and PCI lab with both acute and elective patients. The operations also include pacemaker insertions and electrical conversion of arrhythmias. There is also an ultrasound lab and a nurse-led clinic for arrhythmias, pacemakers, and long-term ECG monitoring.

The department collaborates with other units in both Lund and Malmö, such as thoracic surgery and intensive care, as well as other hospitals in and outside the region. All staff categories work closely together with the patient in focus.

In heart care at Skåne University Hospital (Sus), research is conducted at local, national, and international levels. This means that we are at the forefront as a unit where you, as a nurse, are continuously engaged in various research studies and thus contribute to advancing the development of heart care as a whole.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer you as a nurse a stimulating and developing work environment with the goal that all employees should feel joy, pride, and loyalty in their work.

In the heart department, your base placement will be in one of the medical flows: coronary or heart failure and valve/arrhythmia. This is to give you a deeper understanding and competence regarding the specific flow's patients. The team around the patient consists of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. Since all three flows are part of the same department, we naturally help each other, and there is also the opportunity to shadow and switch to other flows.

We also offer opportunities for further development in other areas of our operations that you find interesting, such as coronary angiography and pacemaker surgery.

We now have the opportunity to offer both day and night shifts. If you want to work in blocks of five weeks of night and five weeks of day with a working time of 34.33 hours/week, that is possible. If you choose to work only nights, you will have a working time of 32 hours/week. If you choose to work only daytime, you will have a working time of 38.25 hours/week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a forward-thinking attitude and a strong interest in development, learning, and of course heart care! You feel secure in your professional role and can handle the rapid prioritizations and shifts in focus that may arise in acute situations. You see the value of good collaboration and contribute to this by sharing your knowledge and experiences. Your flexible and positive attitude and your engagement contribute to a good working climate, where we all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best care quality for our patients.

The formal requirements for the position are that you are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are also a requirement. If you have previous experience in heart care, we consider it an advantage for the position.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection, and interviews may be held during the advertisement's publication period. Welcome with your application today! We look forward to getting to know you!
