The Intensive and Perioperative Care Unit (VO IPV) has launched the KTM project this year and is also a pilot department in the Magnet Model in 2024. The goal of KTM is to create common administrative structures for professional development and continuous learning. The purpose is to enhance the conditions for good and safe care and contribute to making Skåne University Hospital (Sus) an attractive workplace. This initiative is part of the work with the Magnet Model, which aims to lead to improvements in care and working environment.

VO IPV is responsible for anesthesia and surgical care at Sus in Malmö. IPV includes Surgical Operations (OK), Women's Surgery (OKK), Orthopedic Surgery (OO), Reconstructive Surgery (ORK), and anesthesia services for hand surgical procedures. OO provides anesthesia and postoperative care services to the Orthopedic Unit. OO has approximately 35 percent planned and 65 percent emergency operations. Most types of orthopedic procedures are performed, ranging from routine surgeries to advanced spinal and trauma surgery. We look forward to moving to new, fine facilities in 2025. This gives all employees at OO the opportunity to influence and develop during the journey leading up to the move.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an anesthetic nurse, you will work in a team with other professionals to provide the best possible care for the patient. The unit follows the functional description for anesthetic nurses in Sweden developed by the National Association for Anesthesia and Intensive Care. As an anesthetic nurse affiliated with OO, you can also rotate to OK and OKK after full introduction.

Furthermore, it is important for us to provide our staff with adequate training, and we therefore offer you an introductory program tailored to your previous experiences and needs. There are great opportunities to be involved in further developing the department's work with the possibility of deepening within our specialties.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare and who has specialist training in anesthesia. Knowledge of Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. Furthermore, we consider previous experience in anesthesia as an advantage.

To thrive in this role, it is essential that you enjoy working in a team and contribute to effective collaboration even when the pace is high. The work requires you to take personal responsibility and show commitment. You also have good self-awareness and are unpretentious and flexible. Additionally, you are attentive to both patients and colleagues in your environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
