About Mora Park

Mora Park operates LSS 9§8 housing and a school with primary education grades 1-9 and adapted primary education grades 1-9. We are located outside Södertälje in the picturesque Järna with sheep pastures as our nearest neighbor. In the autumn term of 2025, the school will have about 20 students.

About the Job

We are now looking for 1-3 teaching assistants (permanent, substitute, and hourly substitutes) for our students in the adapted primary school. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in small and resource-rich teaching groups. During the school day, you will support the students in the classroom and after school during leisure time. You are part of a team that works together to provide the students with the best conditions for learning and development. As a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for care tasks such as feeding and diaper changes. All students have different needs, which places high demands on responsiveness, flexibility, solution focus, and patience. The work can be physically demanding at times.

About You

You are a trained teaching assistant or support pedagogue. Alternatively, you have many years of documented experience working in an adapted primary school, preferably within LSS.

You have good knowledge of AAC, autism, low-arousal approaches, and intellectual disabilities.

You are used to working in a team where everyone listens to each other, takes responsibility, and finds solutions together.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Trained teaching assistant/support pedagogue or equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.
  • Knowledge and experience of AAC. You master the basics of sign language support.
  • Knowledge and experience of autism and intellectual disabilities.
  • Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

  • Previous experience from LSS.
  • Previous experience with, for example, tube feeding.

  • You are secure, stable, and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in pressured situations.
  • You are responsive and have a respectful and professional demeanor in contact with students, guardians, municipalities, and colleagues.
  • You find it easy to collaborate.
  • You are flexible and patient.
  • You are solution-focused.

We are looking for 1 permanent position, 1 substitute, and hourly substitutes. Please indicate in your application which position you are interested in.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

According to the Education Act, a police record extract must be presented before employment. Mora Park requires extracts for both school and LSS.
