About the role

As a debt collection officer, you will be an important part of the operational team, responsible for the debt collection process from contact to action. You will handle incoming cases, take initiatives in outgoing contact with customers, and create solutions and establish payment plans.

You are also expected to contribute to improvements in internal routines, collaborate with system providers, and support other parts of the business – especially during high workloads. The role offers good development opportunities for the right person.

Examples of tasks: 

• Communicate with customers via phone and email
• Drive outbound debt collection and work solution-oriented
• Manage booking and follow-up of debt collection actions
• Participate in improvement work regarding internal communication flows
• Collaborate with external parties and system providers
• Support other teams in the organization as needed

Qualifications and characteristics

To thrive in this role, you are responsible, proactive, and communicative. You are used to working independently but also function well in a team. You have the ability to meet people in various situations and create structure in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

• 1–3 years of experience in debt collection management
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Ability to take initiative, create structure, and drive processes forward
• A positive attitude, humility, and the ability to collaborate across team boundaries

Preferred experiences

• Experience from fintech, consumer credit companies, or similar
• Experience in developing debt collection processes and systems
• Interest in lending and operational support work
