We are looking for an experienced Accountant for a consulting assignment with our client, a university in Stockholm.

• Scope: Full-time 100%
• Start: January 12th
• Duration: 3 months, possibly longer.

You will be employed by Poolia but will work at our client's location. Possibility for remote work 2 days/week.

About the position

As an accountant with us, you will work with the financial management of research projects and support researchers/project leaders throughout the project cycle, from application to completed projects, focusing on financial administrative tasks. The work is done in close collaboration with the university's researchers/project leaders. The job includes tasks such as: advising and supporting in budgeting for applications, project budgeting after approved applications, bookkeeping, year-end closing, and monitoring income and expenses within grant projects, financial reporting to funders.

Your main tasks

The following tasks may be included in this position:

• working in financial systems (e.g., U4 Agresso, Raindance, etc.)
• working with accounting and bookkeeping (e.g., accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash and bank reconciliations)
• budget work
• producing reports on financial results and analyzing results and year-end closing
• participating in budget follow-up
• working with reconciliations, troubleshooting, and controls
• working with annual closing
• working with year-end and period closing

Who are you?

To be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• University degree in finance or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in similar roles. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of work experience as an Accountant.
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of common accounting systems (e.g., U4 Agresso, Raindance, etc.).
• Experience with government accounting.
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
