About the position

Are you ready to step into a key role where you can influence and make a real difference? Huddinge is looking for an experienced and committed development leader to lead the municipality's important prevention work into the future. Since 2020, we have developed a coordinated prevention effort in Huddinge focused on children and youth, where safe family relationships, successful schooling, and meaningful leisure are prioritized. This is now a fixed part of the municipality's overall strategy and guiding for all administrations. As we approach 2026, we are facing an exciting time as we revise our action plans and advance this valuable work.

About the workplace

You will belong to the individual and family care department, but the assignment means that you will work with all of the municipality's administrations. You will be part of a dynamic unit actively working with target groups such as children and youth, domestic violence, dropouts, addiction issues, and social psychiatry. We work for a cohesive social service with early and preventive interventions, authority actions, outpatient interventions, and placement interventions. The operational staff includes five development leaders, two lawyers, and a unit manager.

Job responsibilities

In the role of development leader, you will be one of three key persons in implementing our prevention strategies, with primary responsibility for driving successful results. The goal of the assignment is for Huddinge to work systematically and evidence-based to prevent harmful use and dependency as well as domestic violence and promote mental health. Our main priority is to increasingly strive for an accessible and knowledge-based social service. A strong focus is placed on coordination and collaboration between us as a municipality, the police, civil society, and the business community.

The assignment includes:

  • Coordinating the work of planning and following up our action plans in the areas of domestic violence, mental health, and alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco, and gambling.
  • Promoting collaboration and coordination between our various administrations to ensure efficiency and evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborating with the municipality's safety and security section to ensure that the municipality's prevention and safety work is based on the best interests of Huddinge residents.
  • Staying updated on the latest trends and research findings to continually strengthen and improve our prevention work.
  • Coordinating and leading various working groups to ensure that we work towards common goals.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and several years of experience in prevention work or public health. You have documented experience navigating a politically governed organization and have successfully driven collaboration between different administrations. You are strategically minded, structured, and a team player driven by achieving good results in collaboration with others. You are also pedagogical and communicative, able to convey your message in a way that can inspire and engage others. You are accustomed to lecturing and conducting workshops.
