The Organization

Västergården is a specialist facility that offers high-quality care, but it is also a home characterized by care and respect for those who live here. The residence has 25 apartments for individuals under 65 years old with cognitive disorders. We who work here focus on the healthy aspects, on the abilities and resources that our active residents still possess. We call it the KAN list. With the individual as the starting point, we create a personalized daily structure, promote well-being, and train for increased independence. Your Role

As an occupational therapist, you are a key person in a multidisciplinary team that is built on the principle that our residents should be the main characters in their lives. A significant focus is on maintaining and strengthening their KAN list through training and prescribed aids. Additionally, we offer activities that promote social support and stimulation. In the team, we provide you with opportunities to articulate your knowledge as an occupational therapist and educate colleagues from other professions. For over 10 years, we have developed a person-centered documentation system based on ICF assessments, where you as an occupational therapist are expected to take a leading role. We also invite you to participate in our open management group where you can influence the organization in several direct ways.

Qualifications for the position include a license as an occupational therapist and experience working with individuals with cognitive disorders and BPSD symptoms (e.g., aggressive behavior).
