About the workplace

IFO Children and Youth is part of the Individual and Family Care, which is included in the municipality's Care sector. The operations include investigation work and open care interventions in our own management. Those of us working in the unit have assignments as reception function, investigators, child secretaries, and family home secretaries.

The unit includes five family therapists, of which two work as family therapists/youth supporters. The youth supporters work, among other things, with young people living in a supported accommodation for young adults aged 18-21.

We are an engaged group of employees with different experiences of social work that provide a broad competence. Our common goal is to strengthen children's rights and work for the best interests of children and families. We actively work on method development in both the investigation process and interventions in our own management. We have continuous supervision and ongoing professional development regarding legislation, trauma, and methods for developing conversations with children. We have a positive work climate and good cohesion.

Your tasks

As a social worker, you will work in the authority-exercising operations. You will receive reports of concern and applications, conduct risk assessments and preliminary assessments, as well as inform about the social services' assignments and participate in collaboration meetings that are part of the reception function's assignment. The position includes handling Young Offenders (LUL).

You will be part of the investigation group with a senior social worker who will lead and support you in the process you are responsible for as a caseworker. The investigation group will, if necessary, provide support to cover for backup.

The position requires you to have good knowledge of the work of social workers and current legislation. In close and open collaboration with your immediate supervisor and the senior social worker, you are also expected to actively participate in the internal development work.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or social educator with the authority to work with the exercise of authority concerning children and youth. You have good documented experience from social services work with children, youth, and families. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. We particularly value that you have personal drive, a desire to make a difference for the individual, a development-oriented approach, and a good foundational structure.

You are also good at prioritizing, following up, have good pedagogical skills, good collaboration skills, and are a secure person who contributes to a good work climate with joy at work.
