Our Operations

Clinical microbiology and infection control is one of the five sections of the Academic Laboratory. With its 120 employees, the section has an operation that, in addition to a broad and growing microbiological diagnostics, also includes infection control, education, research, and development work. The operation is accredited according to ISO 15189 and environmentally certified according to ISO 14001.

We are now looking for new employees as we see an increased demand for microbiological diagnostics.

Your Mission

As a biomedical analyst in clinical microbiology and infection control, you will work with exciting tasks carried out in a clinical microbiological laboratory. Primarily, we are looking for employees for the molecular microbiology department where we analyze various types of patient samples regarding viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi, using various types of molecular methods that are mostly PCR-based.

As we are an accredited operation, everything we do is permeated by quality assurance and traceability, which places high demands on accuracy. Each work step requires a qualification that is obtained after supervised training. Together with specialist doctors and microbiologists, we work with daily operations and development projects.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed biomedical analyst or have a relevant university degree with theoretical and practical experience in microbiological and molecular biological laboratory work. Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory, including knowledge and use of various IT systems, is particularly meritorious.

Your Competence

We see that you are a team player who is problem-solving oriented. The work is characterized by constant development, which requires you to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. It is important that you are stress-resistant and flexible in the face of changes. During periods of high workload, you are expected to maintain focus, show great commitment, and actively support your colleagues when needed.

Other qualities that we highly value are the ability to independently plan your work, make assessments, and make your own decisions. To succeed in independent work, it is crucial that you have good communication skills and can collaborate effectively with different workgroups and professional categories, both internally and externally. Your high social competence is an important asset in the daily interactions that the role requires. The position requires good knowledge of written and spoken communication in Swedish.
