Are you a nurse looking for a stable workplace with plenty of development opportunities? Where you can be part of a professional, stable, and experienced team? At 70C, we offer you the chance to work with exciting tasks and patient groups while you develop. It is important to us that you enjoy and feel good at your workplace, and therefore we strive to provide you with the best conditions for this. We believe that job satisfaction leads to a well-functioning team that also provides our patients with the best possible care. Take the chance and become part of our team!

Our Operations

The surgical department 70C is one of four departments within the area of surgery and urology. We provide highly specialized surgical care focusing on transplantation surgery, liver/pancreas, and esophagus/stomach surgery. Most of our operations are planned, but we also conduct a certain amount of acute and subacute care with direct admissions to the department from our collaborating regions.

The department also includes the transplantation clinic, where our patients come for investigations and follow-ups before and after transplantation. The clinic is partially staffed by personnel from the department. The department has 23 beds staffed by a large and dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, managers, dietitians, physiotherapists, and pharmacists. We work with the patient in focus, and you will have an exciting job where you meet patients of various ages and situations and help make a difference in their lives. The department strives to offer the best possible care to our patients. Therefore, we actively work on the development and continuing education of our staff and invest in ensuring that you as a new employee receive a good introduction and training to have the best possible conditions in your work, whether you are new to the role or experienced.

With us, you will have a developing and enjoyable job where you can be part of an engaged and professional team with a welcoming and permissive work climate. We have a good habit, knowledge, and routine in welcoming newly hired nurses, which ensures that you have a safe and good start to your career regardless of your previous level of experience.

Your Mission

We offer you as a nurse a developing and varied job where you will gain broad knowledge in surgical nursing. Over time, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge within our medical sections and further develop through internal and external training and the opportunity for other tasks. We offer the possibility of paid specialist training in surgery as well as rotation positions to clinics, research, and special assignments.

Your tasks include caring for postoperative patients, which involves both practical tasks such as administering medications, infusions, and injections, and managing pain pumps, as well as more administrative tasks such as patient education and identifying care needs and risk areas. Together with our experienced and competent nursing assistants, you will plan and lead the work with the patient in focus.

Examples of patient groups you will encounter with us include:

  • Patients with tumor diseases who have undergone liver, pancreas, esophagus, or stomach surgery
  • Patients undergoing kidney, pancreas, and islet cell transplantation
  • Patients with complications after transplantation

We work with healthy scheduling, and you will have the opportunity to influence your schedule. We have scheduled training days four times a year and weekly lectures for continuous professional development. If you are interested in deepening your knowledge in a nursing area, you will have scheduled working hours to work on this.

As a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in a clinical development year (KUÅ) during your first year as a nurse, corresponding to about 20% of your working time. We also offer guidance and mentorship from our experienced nurses and specialist nurses during your initial time as an employee.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Both newly graduated nurses and those with more experience are welcome. Previous experience in surgery or acute care is an advantage but not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Your Skills

  • You are proactive and enjoy varied tasks
  • You like to learn new tasks and methods
  • You are empathetic, cooperative, and enjoy working in a team
  • You are responsible and have the ability to adapt to different situations
