The Psychiatric Reception for Affective Disorders in Uddevalla Adult Psychiatric Reception is the foundation of the specialist psychiatric operations where the goal is to investigate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate in the patient's local environment as much as possible.

The target group primarily consists of patients with severe depression, personality disorders, severe anxiety disorders, neuropsychiatric conditions, and comorbidity, i.e., mental disorders/diseases with concurrent substance abuse/dependence.

As a psychologist, you will be part of our workgroup consisting of doctors, psychologists, PTP psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, and secretaries. Our ambition is to offer and create conditions for a stimulating and developing work environment with good teamwork and various specializations under the same roof.

There are good opportunities for further education, for example, within the framework of the VG Region's specialist training for psychologists. The clinic's goal is to eventually increase the number of specialist psychologists, but other development options outside the specialist framework are also highly valued. We view competency supply as mutually beneficial, as we believe that the desire to contribute to the development of the operations increases when employees feel inspired in their daily work.

About the position The main tasks are psychotherapy and psychological treatment work of various kinds and orientations, as well as assessment and investigation work, among other things based on personality and neuropsychiatric issues. Treatment interventions are offered both individually and in group formats. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other competencies in the team. There is access to supervision regarding both psychotherapy and neuropsychological investigations.

Qualifications Licensed Psychologist. Experience in adult psychiatric treatment and investigation work is desirable. Further education in psychological differential diagnosis and investigation methodology is meritorious. Specialist qualification, psychotherapy degree, and other training in specific treatment methods such as CBT, PDT, or DBT are seen as a clear advantage, but they are not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have an eclectic approach as we appreciate different perspectives both among psychologists and between professions.
