Affective Psychiatry Reception Uddevalla

NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

The adult psychiatric reception is seen as the foundation of the specialist psychiatric operation, where the goal is to investigate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate in the patient's local environment as much as possible.

The target group primarily consists of individuals in need of psychiatric specialist care for conditions such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, comorbidity, meaning mental disorders/diseases with concurrent substance abuse/dependence, as well as investigation and treatment of neuropsychiatric diagnoses.

You will join a well-established team with good camaraderie. We are about 20 people divided into a team consisting of doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, psychotherapists, and medical secretaries.

Our ambition is to offer and create conditions for stimulating and developing work at our reception with well-established colleagues and a good work community with different specializations under the same roof. There are good opportunities for further education. The clinic's goal is to increase the number of specialists in the long run, but other development options outside the specialist framework are highly valued. We view competence supply as mutually beneficial, as we believe that the desire to contribute to the development of the operation increases when one feels inspired in their daily work.

Job Responsibilities

The main job responsibilities include psychotherapy and psychological treatment work of various kinds and focuses, as well as investigation and assessment work. Interventions take place individually, in groups, or through digital visits. We work with ongoing evaluations in the team of current psychological treatments. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other competencies in the team, thus requiring physical presence at the workplace; remote work is only done exceptionally. There is access to supervision.

Qualifications

Licensed psychotherapist, preferably with a basic education as a social worker, psychologist, or physiotherapist. Experience in adult psychiatric treatment and assessment work is desirable.

In addition to the psychotherapist degree, other training in specific treatment methods such as EMDR or DBT is meritorious. The most important thing is that you have an eclectic approach, as we appreciate different perspectives between professions.
