School Nurse to Skara Municipality

We are a leading school municipality with knowledge for a lifetime. The administration is responsible for childcare and education from preschool to adult education. The activities include clear elements of entrepreneurship as well as a music school, youth center, and student health. The municipality has a long tradition of education, and in addition to one of Sweden's oldest schools from 1641, there is also Sweden's Agricultural University, Skara School Scene, and Axevalla Horse Center.

The Role

As a school nurse in our student health, you will work in a cross-professional team at the school together with the principal.

Your base will be at the school, but you will continuously meet with your school nurse colleagues and the head of student health at professional meetings and workplace gatherings.

You are part of the central and collective student health. Together with the student health team, you will primarily work preventively and health-promoting to support students in their schooling. You will collaborate with other staff at the school, guardians, and other organizations and authorities outside the school, and you are an important part of the student health team where you contribute your perspective based on your professional area.

It is important for you to focus on the student and work together with others to create the best possible conditions for learning and development based on each individual student.

As a school nurse, you have an independent role, which means you plan and organize your work well. You value collaboration with others, which makes you attentive and interested, and you place great importance on creating good relationships with students, staff, and guardians.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse.
• We are looking for someone who is flexible and can prioritize during changes.

A valid driver's license (B) is required as work in the municipality's outskirts may occur.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other Information

The position is permanent, full-time, with a start date by agreement.
