Assignment:
The assignment involves you and your team being responsible for providing the best conditions for a good start in life for the youth. You will work with the youth in a personal, responsible, and professional manner. You are responsible for planning the youth's daily activities and actively working in a supportive, pedagogical, and methodological way to help the youth succeed.
Our target group consists of young people of varying ages, who often have one or more neuropsychiatric diagnoses in addition to social issues. Additionally, the youth may have other psychiatric symptoms or diagnoses where outwardly aggressive behavior and anxiety problems are common. Therefore, your ability to remain calm and clear-headed in challenging situations is of great importance for this position. A degree of persistence and endurance is also beneficial in this work.
The central part of the job is to create development towards the goals in the implementation plan, as well as your ability to document it.
Information about the position:
- Scope: Approximately 82%, but the possibility to work extra up to 100%
- Location: We are looking for hourly substitutes in all units: Lund, Hörby, Tollarp, Sölvesborg, Everöd, and Kristianstad
- Working hours: Rolling schedule with sleeping night shifts (24-hour shifts)
- Start: Immediately
- Employment type: Hourly employment (temporary)

Requirements:
Post-secondary education of at least two years in social work or behavioral science. This can include social worker, behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, nurse with a focus on psychiatry, among others. Another requirement is that you have genuine work experience from similar assignments with children/youth within the target group. You must also master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have a B driver's license.
Meritorious:
- Training or shorter courses in neuropsychiatry and/or intellectual disabilities, or other aspects of the described target group.
- Experience working with individuals with NPF.
- Knowledge of preventing and managing threats and violence.
- Experience working with challenging behaviors.
- Knowledge of low-arousal approaches.
- Familiarity with structured pedagogy (Teacch, AKK, TAKK, or equivalent).
- Basic knowledge of BBiC and IBIC.
- Familiarity with TMO (Trauma-Informed Care).
- Experience with various journal systems.
- Knowledge in MI.
Personal qualities:
As a person, you have a pedagogical approach. Furthermore, you have the ability to build lasting relationships, where you can alternate between setting boundaries and showing care and warmth!
You have a good ability to stop, redirect, extinguish, divert, and motivate children and young people with undesirable behaviors. Additionally, you maintain a professional approach in your interactions with the youth, considering your own impact on their behavior and feelings. You have a genuine interest and curiosity about the youth, as well as a strong desire to work towards the established goals in the implementation plan. You are a responsible person who approaches your tasks with great care and commitment.
