Emiliaskolan, Höörs Waldorf School, has been around for over 30 years. We are located within cycling distance from Höör station, in a scenic area with the forest right at our doorstep. We have one class per grade with a maximum of 24 students per class, and our own after-school care in the building. The preschool Lill-Emilia is also in the village. We are now looking for a part-time counselor.

Emiliaskolan is characterized by a holistic view of students aimed at developing the whole person – thought, feeling, and will. Some aspects that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with thematic periods, prioritize creative activities such as art, crafts, and music, and often utilize the beautiful forest that we have just outside our doors.

As a counselor, you will work for early detection and early interventions for students who are in distress, are in socially vulnerable situations, or show signs of mental health issues. You will do this, for example, through active preventive and relationship-building measures and close collaboration with other staff.

We are a smaller school with about 230 students. You will receive support in your role from an experienced and dedicated student health team and have good opportunities to plan your working hours. The position is 50% with a start date to be agreed upon.

We are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another equivalent education and experience. You need to be a trustworthy and confidence-building person, and good at leading conversations with both students and guardians. You should also be accustomed to documenting and expressing yourself in writing, skilled at structuring your work, and knowledgeable about relevant laws and regulations.

We want you to share our holistic view of students' development, where we strive for both thought, feeling, and will to be recognized. This means, for example, valuing each student's unique circumstances and being prepared to meet them where they are.
