JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for engaged support assistants/support educators!

Especially for Apollo, a residence with special services according to LSS. Here, individuals with various functional variations and support needs live, many of whom have autism. To meet the individual needs of the users, we now need to expand the staff group and offer both permanent positions and temporary contracts.

As a support assistant/support educator, the goal is for the users, based on their individual circumstances, to have a safe and meaningful existence where they feel that their own self-determination and participation are present. You will provide users with individually tailored support described in an implementation plan through interventions. The interventions reflect the individual's needs in daily living.

We collaborate with relatives, daily activities, and other professionals in the individual's life. The work involves a lot of pedagogy, i.e., how the interventions are carried out based on the individual's self-determination as far as possible. To succeed in this, it is important to create good communication and understand how important the approach is. The assignment also includes handling medication and delegation for this.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a support assistant, you need to have a care and nursing education, preferably with a focus on disabilities, or have completed the child and leisure program with a focus on individuals with special needs, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

As a support educator, you need to have post-secondary education of 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits.

• Experience

We prefer that you have knowledge and previous experience working with individuals with functional variations.

If you have experience with low-arousal approaches, various forms of supportive communication such as sign language, visual support, or AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), this is an advantage.

You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing, and in this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You need to be accustomed to handling outwardly aggressive behavior.

You need to be curious, enjoy challenges, and complex combined needs of users. Together with others, you need to be attentive, observant, and resolve conflicts constructively.

You need to have the ability to understand someone else's perspective without taking over the person's feelings and be able to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You also need to be able to work systematically with complex issues, analyze and break down problems, and find solutions without prestige.
