The Health and Social Care Administration consists of four departments: Assistance and Health, Functional Support, Elderly Care, and Support and Development. The Health and Social Care Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and services to elderly individuals and those in need of functional support. We also perform certain health and medical care. The vision includes ensuring that our efforts are carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

We are about 850 employees who have our workplaces throughout the municipality, and we are a mix of support assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, support educators, assistance assessors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care supervisors, and more.

We are now looking for you who want to work as a summer substitute during the day/evening or night for our home care units, night patrol, or our digital home care service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to work on a fixed schedule/monthly substitute for at least 6 weeks this summer during the day, evening, or night in home care. It is a rewarding job that involves helping the elderly with personal care and hygiene directly in their homes. The tasks are varied, and you will administer medication under the delegation of a nurse.

Before your summer substitute position, you will, of course, receive an introduction, shorter training, and shadow regular staff to ensure you feel secure in your role and develop in your position. You will learn techniques for transferring a person using various aids. You will learn basic nursing and how to interact with the elderly, as well as undergo training to administer medications to the elderly under the delegation of a nurse. You must pass the delegation training before the start of the substitute position to work with us.

In all home care areas in Partille Municipality, the cleaning service is performed by an external service company.

Our operations looking for summer substitutes are:

• Björndammen's home care (also covers Öjersjö area)
• Central home care
• Sävedalen's home care
• Night unit (works only at night across all municipal areas, requires previous experience in similar work as you work alone at night with the possibility of contacting other colleagues by phone)
• Digital home care (based in Forellen, requires extra knowledge for digital aids installed in our elderly people's homes and experience in responding to alarms as the unit is responsible for incoming alarms for the entire municipality during daytime)

You will work on a fixed schedule for several weeks in a row this summer, and the number of working days per week may vary. In all areas, shifts are scheduled on both weekdays and weekends.

Working Hours:

• Day shift - 07:00-14:00, 07:00-15:30
• Evening shift - 14:00-22:00, 14:00-22:30, 15:30-22:15, 17:00-22:00
• Night (only applies to the Night unit) - 22:00-07:00

QUALIFICATIONS

To work with us in home care this summer, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, referring to AFS 2023:2 8 chap. 4 §
• Have a B driver's license
• Be able to work full-time on a fixed schedule for at least 6 weeks
• Complete a language test at the level of the Council of Europe’s level B1 with a passing result. Documentation is an important part of the job, and therefore you need to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.
• Be able to attend short training sessions during the spring and have the opportunity to shadow regular staff for training before the summer substitute position begins

We consider it an advantage if you are educated or have ongoing high school or university education in health and social care. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in healthcare. To ensure work with basic hygiene, you must be comfortable working with personal protective equipment if necessary.
