Kvarnskolan is a secondary school located within walking distance from Jakobsberg bus and commuter train terminal. The school has about 380 students, and we are also responsible for teaching modern languages in grade 6 at two of our neighboring schools.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

We are now looking for an engaged and attentive teacher with a positive outlook! Your responsibilities will include teaching Spanish and sharing mentorship responsibilities for a class.

Together with other educators in the team, you will be responsible for creating and developing a safe and secure environment that attracts and challenges students to engage in activities, learning, and responsibility. You want to be part of driving pedagogical development and use current research to implement it in your work. You will plan and follow up on teaching and analyze and assess the results.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Finds it easy to collaborate with students, colleagues, guardians, and other staff. You relate to children and adults in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You see collegial learning as a given and a prerequisite for creating new and deepened knowledge.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work effectively. You develop students' ability to learn and involve them in planning the activities. You have high and positive expectations of the students and are solution-focused. Furthermore, you possess a strong desire to work towards creating the best pedagogical conditions for the students.
• Have a positive attitude towards work and act in accordance with decisions made, operational plans, goals, policies, and guidelines.
• Have good self-awareness, are secure in yourself and your pedagogical leadership, and have the ability to take leadership both inside and outside the classroom. You work independently and are flexible.

Requirements:

• Are a licensed teacher in Spanish.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in pedagogical work.
• Qualified in another subject.
