Social Worker for Substance Abuse, Reception and Investigation
Jönköping Municipality is a major employer with hundreds of different professional roles. We are growing as the city develops with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always looking for new talent - employees with different backgrounds and experiences, all sharing the common drive to create a better city to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Your new job
The department's mission is to work with authority for adults with substance abuse problems, supported by the Social Services Act (SoL) and in some cases the Care of Substance Abusers Act (LVM).
The reception works with counseling, inquiries, motivational work, receives new applications/reports, and assesses whether an investigation should be initiated. The reception's work also includes outreach work and close collaboration with other actors internally and externally. The investigation group investigates and assesses the need for support measures and follows up on approved measures in individual cases. The goals of the operation include actively working to strengthen the individual's own resources and develop work on home plan solutions.
Your skills
We are looking for someone with an approved and completed degree in social work or other higher education that the employer finds relevant to the position. You should have knowledge of current legislation. A driver's license is a requirement for the position.
Previous experience working as a social worker in authority, experience working with individuals with substance abuse/addiction problems, and previous experience working with coercive legislation are desirable for the position. It is a merit if you have education in ASI, MI, and Combine.
We are looking for someone who is stable and structured. You should be able to organize and prioritize your work independently and have the ability to work towards set goals. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with a good ability to work with complex issues, and who is adept at expressing themselves clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish. The work is at times fast-paced and requires the ability to quickly reprioritize your tasks, which requires stress tolerance. The position requires the ability to collaborate, create, and maintain good contacts both internally and externally.
What we offer
We offer you as an employee a 7-hour workday scheduled during daytime Monday to Friday, individual salary setting, supervision, and work in a team with dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues. You are important to us as an employee, and when you join us, you will receive an introduction and close support in your work from the management.
