The staffing unit's mission is to be booked at short notice when someone in the regular staff is absent or extra personnel is needed. We assist preschools, leisure centers, and schools with various assignments and therefore hire individuals with different competencies.
As a teacher within the staffing unit, you have a unique opportunity to gain a broad experience in the profession. You work in the municipality's schools to cover for regular staff absences. You will have an interesting, fun, and varied job where you will have the opportunity to work together with experienced teachers.
You will be employed intermittently, which means that each individual work occasion is a new employment relationship.
Job duties
You work in schools and/or leisure centers to cover for regular staff absences.
You design the teaching in accordance with the curriculum's goals - plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate your teaching. With commitment and enthusiasm, you should stimulate/strengthen students for learning and personal responsibility. You demonstrate good leadership both in and out of the classroom/leisure center and dare to set expectations for students clearly.
As a teacher, you create a quality-assured, engaging, and inspiring teaching for all students based on their level and with the student's best interest in focus. You lead and organize the work to create a safe learning environment based on democratic values, mutual respect, and cooperation.
Through dialogue, you create relationships with students, guardians, and other partners characterized by mutual respect, a trusting approach, and positive and high expectations.
In a systematic way, you reflect on the practical work individually and together with other colleagues linked to the goals of the operation. You assess and document the individual student's needs, knowledge, and abilities. The role includes using alternative teaching tools. Taking responsibility for your working time, trust time, and competence development is part of the work, as well as being active in peer learning.
Qualifications
You who apply have an approved high school diploma. We prefer that you have a teaching license with the right to conduct teaching in primary school and/or in leisure centers. If you are currently studying to become a teacher or a teacher in leisure centers and have not yet received your degree or license, please indicate this in your application. We prefer that you have experience working as a teacher in primary school/leisure centers or experience from educational activities.
You should be able to adapt the teaching to each student's conditions, and your lessons should be characterized by clear expectations, calm work environment, and a desire to learn. It is advantageous if you have the ability to organize and structure the work based on specified goals. It is also an advantage if you can analyze and document the students' abilities and knowledge. Good ability to teach children in need of special support as well as the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise.
To succeed in the work, you need to create trusting relationships by being communicative and attentive both in and out of school. It is an advantage if you have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is influenced by the surrounding world. It is also advantageous if you have an understanding and a holistic view of the school's operations and how it is organized within the municipality.
Furthermore, you are a confident pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the workgroup's work methods for continuous development. Good ability to use digital technology in teaching as well as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting is advantageous. You are well acquainted with and adhere to the professional ethical principles for teachers. It is an advantage if you have a B driver's license with access to a car.
When we want to offer you the position, you are required to present an extract from the police's criminal record to be able to employ you, in accordance with the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
