Move & Walk School in Malmö is a customized primary and secondary school with high staff density, high commitment, and high competence. We work with students with various types of disabilities and support needs. Within the Move & Walk group, we operate customized primary and secondary schools as well as personal assistance administration. Move & Walk is also Sweden's first and largest training option for children, young people, and adults with neurological functional variations. At Move & Walk, the entire operation is permeated by conductive pedagogy (CP), where movement together with cognitive, communicative, and social skills are the focus. CP aims to provide tools so that every student, regardless of the size of the disability, can live as independently as possible and cope with everyday life in the best possible way based on their level.

At our schools, conductors who are also teachers work together with teacher assistants and student assistants. These teams develop the student's development plan and ensure that each student's special needs are identified and met. The staff working with the students play a very important role in the individual's development.

The position as a student assistant involves following a group of students throughout the entire school day, in leisure activities and short-term supervision, and assisting the students in all activities during their day with us. The main parts of the position:

• Student assistant for our students through educational and physical support during the school day and in leisure activities and short-term supervision before and after school.
• Support for students in movements, meal situations, and assistance with personal hygiene during toilet visits, and more.

You are flexible and attentive and prioritize the student's needs and learning. To be suitable for the task, you should have good communication and teamwork skills as you will work in a team responsible for the students in a class. You have a great commitment to your task and a desire to develop our school operations together with us. It is required that you have a genuine interest and commitment to understanding the special needs of our students. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Competence requirements:

• High school education deemed adequate by the employer for the assignment
• Experience working with children with complex disabilities.
• Good teamwork skills and the ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and staff.

• Education/experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders, visual impairments, or other disabilities

The position is an hourly employment to work as needed and for longer substitute periods.
