About the workplace

In our area, we strive to create a good education for the children through, among other things, equality and consensus. We work projectively with the children's interests and influence in focus, based on our clear values. For those working with us, we offer collegial learning, educational cafés, and reflective meetings to further develop our operations and all our educators.

Junibacken is a preschool with six departments, one of which is an outdoor department, with a large and inspiring yard that invites a lot of play and learning. The premises are bright, open, and purpose-built with a Preschool Library.

Trädgården is a preschool with ten departments and several common areas. These include a Preschool Library, Sensory Room, and Creative Workshop. The outdoor environment invites a lot of physical activity with play, exploration, and learning in a yard with a rich variety of plants, berry bushes, trees, and hills.

Both preschools are located right on the edge of the beautiful Gyllins Trädgård, a large nature park that invites many exciting and enjoyable discoveries. Children and educators visit here several times a week for close-to-nature experiences.

Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You drive, lead, and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö city have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

We would like to see that you have a great interest in working from a health-promoting and environmentally conscious perspective with the children's learning in focus.

In various ways, you drive the development of inspiring play and learning environments both indoors and outdoors according to the children's needs and interests. As support and sounding board, you meet other experienced preschool teachers and our first preschool teachers who have a special mission to support and develop education and you in your mission.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and leading the educational activities in collaboration with competent and committed colleagues. Together with all educators at the preschool, you run the operations in accordance with the curriculum, school law, and local plans.

Together, we make this a preschool that all children, guardians, and educators go to with joy.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher's degree. We would like you to contribute with commitment, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet each child with respect and responsiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool, and we would like to see that you have a great interest in working from a health-promoting and environmentally conscious perspective with the children's learning in focus. You are well versed in the routines of the preschool and can create a positive atmosphere. You value collegial learning and believe that with well-functioning cooperation, much can be achieved. Your work is characterized by a clear respect for the individual and a good relationship with children, guardians, and colleagues.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher's license is required, according to the School Act. If you have a preschool teacher's degree but lack a license, you will be employed on a fixed-term basis.
