As a foster care consultant, your main tasks will be to recruit, assess, educate, and supervise foster families. We are a complement to the municipalities' own alternatives or where we can contribute with additional skills and experience. We work with various forms of foster care, and at our unit, we also work with the TFCO program. Several of the methods we use are evaluated and research-based. You will be part of a team of ten helpful, creative, and dedicated colleagues who strive every day to create a safe and inclusive environment for our children. We have two offices, one in Jönköping and one in Skövde. You will be seated in our pleasant premises in central Jönköping but are also expected to regularly be at the Skövde office.

In the role of foster care consultant, you will mainly work with:

• Support and guide emergency and foster families
• Recruit, investigate, and educate foster families
• Establish and maintain contact with clients and continuously report the supervision in writing
• Participate in the development work around consultant-supported foster care
• Work both in a team and independently
• Be a coordinator in certain cases involving both foster care placement and outpatient care intervention
• Work with evidence-based methods
• Participate, develop, and strive for higher standards in social work
• Regular on-call duty is included, and work may occur in the evenings and weekends

Duration/Working hours: Permanent employment, 100%, trust-based working hours. A six-month probationary period applies. Entry: by agreement.

For this position, you are required to:

• Be a qualified social worker with at least three years of experience in municipal social services
• Have a B driver's license

It is also advantageous if you:

• Have experience in investigating, educating, and supervising foster families or have experience from a treatment position
