We, at the section for investigating children and youth, are looking for a new colleague. Together with the child and the family, we actively work to bring about sustainable changes in the child's situation over time. We believe that a good collaboration between the family, their network, and the social services is necessary to succeed and find solutions. We aim to highlight individual solutions that work and contribute to providing the child/young person with secure conditions for upbringing. In our work, we use the Signs of Safety approach. We are a safe and positive workgroup where everyday life is characterized by respect and commitment, both for the families we meet and for our colleagues.
Responsibilities
Värnamo municipality is in an exciting phase with many ongoing development initiatives. You will be an important person who will contribute to building the future social services in Värnamo Municipality. The municipality considers development and knowledge significant, and you will have the opportunity for further education and group supervision.
As a social worker for children and youth, you handle cases according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. You are responsible for driving cases forward and ensuring compliance with current legislation and procedures. You investigate, analyze, propose decisions/make decisions, and follow up. You write statements according to the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act, among others. You collaborate and conduct meetings, both with children and families and with colleagues, both internally and externally.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education at the university level, as assessed by the employer, meeting the eligibility requirements in HSLF-FS 2017:79. It is advantageous if you have experience in investigative work in the field of children and youth and knowledge of Signs of Safety.
You share our fundamental belief that everything we do should be characterized by respect and client focus, and that children's participation is important. As a person, you are stable and contribute to a positive work environment. You enjoy job variation, are flexible, and have a good ability to prioritize. You can work independently but also collaboratively. You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. You remain composed in stressful situations and are comfortable meeting individuals in vulnerable situations. You have good teamwork skills and see collaboration as a prerequisite for providing the best possible support to the families we encounter. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You need to have a driver's license.
Conditions
In your application, we require a cover letter, a CV, and a copy of your degree certificate. If you are not a social worker, we also ask for a list of the courses included in your education. It should be clear to what extent you have worked, what type of employment has been relevant, and what position you have held. Before employment is possible, a background check will be conducted, where you must provide an extract from the police's criminal record. References will be requested.
This is a permanent position starting after agreement, but a probationary period may be applicable. Recruitment may be ongoing, so do not hesitate to submit your application.
