Capacity Process Leader
At the System division, we tackle the most complex and exciting challenges of the electricity system – from real-time operations to long-term planning 40 years ahead. The significant complexity and development opportunities make our work both stimulating and meaningful. Here, you gain a unique holistic perspective on the electricity system and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, sustainable, and efficient electricity supply.
About the position
As the capacity process leader, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating the processes for capacity calculation and monitoring in the control room. Your mission will be to ensure a secure electricity supply, maximize trading output in the electricity market, and improve work methods and tools. You will serve as an important bridge between the business and the IT department, collaborating with the control room, other departments, and external stakeholders. Through close cooperation with the control room, other departments, and external parties, you will create coordination for capacity issues and optimize processes to meet various needs.
Responsibilities included in the role:
- analyze, improve, and document processes for capacity allocation and monitoring
- identify technical needs and be responsible for requirements specification and follow-up
- develop methods for capacity calculation and track results
- define and implement key performance indicators to measure and optimize capacity processes
- evaluate process performance and report improvement suggestions
- drive your own areas of responsibility and contribute to the development of the business.
You will belong to the Operations Analysis Development unit, which is responsible for developing the process for monitoring and managing capacities, one of the six subprocesses of operations. We work closely with the Operational Operations Analysis unit, which applies the process operationally in the control room. You will be part of an engaged team in a rapidly evolving energy sector, where changes in the power system, new legislation, and increased Nordic and European cooperation present exciting challenges. Your role is central to driving process improvements and developing capacity allocation. We offer continuous opportunities for learning and development, where you and your manager plan your journey based on the needs of the business and your ambitions.
About you
Essential requirements:
As the role involves contact points both internally and externally, we are looking for someone who works well with others and adapts to find solutions with an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You are analytical and have the ability to understand both details and the bigger picture when analyzing and evaluating complex information. You take initiative, independently drive your tasks forward, and have the ability to organize and plan your work effectively. You complete what you start and meet deadlines, which allows you to deliver results in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Furthermore, you hold a master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as energy systems, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät deems relevant for the position. Additionally, you have:
- experience in power engineering, preferably with a transmission system operator, distribution network owner, or regional coordination center, or equivalent experience in power systems and capacity calculations
- excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- good knowledge of the Office suite and experience working with technical systems or data analysis tools.
It is advantageous if you have:
- good knowledge of the Swedish and Nordic power systems, for example in an analytical role
- experience with process-oriented working methods
- experience in programming and data analysis within power systems and/or grid modeling
- experience in requirements specification and needs description.
