Power System Analysts for the Requirements Validation Unit

We are now looking for several Power System Analysts for our Requirements Validation unit. This is an exciting opportunity in an expanding field, where our unit is active in several working groups and development projects. About the Position

In the role of Power System Analyst within frequency balancing, you will have the opportunity to work with challenging and developing tasks in a rapidly growing area. You will work concurrently on many different tasks and projects, where a main task is to perform technical evaluations for pre-qualifications and follow-ups of support service deliveries. You will have the chance to understand and grasp new technical solutions to deliver support services. The work also includes business development both within the unit and in collaboration with other departments and external partners, where you will participate in projects for the development of new support services. You will build long-lasting relationships with external actors and communicate information regarding pre-qualifications and follow-ups, both to external actors and internally at Svenska kraftnät.

You will belong to the Requirements Validation unit, which currently consists of 10 employees and two consultants. We are in a growth phase and our mission includes pre-qualification of support services and remedial actions as well as follow-up of their functions. Our unit is characterized by diversity and we value different backgrounds. We have close cooperation with other units within Svenska kraftnät, such as System Measures and Balancing Development, which contributes to a dynamic and integrated work environment.

About You

Required Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who contributes to a positive work environment by listening and communicating. You have the ability to organize and plan your work well and complete what you start. In the role, you will perform technical evaluations and analyses, so we value your problem-solving skills and ability to see logic and connections in complex information. Since the unit is in a growth phase and we work in a dynamic environment, it is important that you thrive with change and remain stable even in challenging situations.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a master's degree in a relevant field for the position, e.g. electrical engineering, energy systems, or engineering physics, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. You also have:

  • good knowledge of energy systems or electrical engineering and at least one of the following areas: power system analysis or control engineering
  • experience and knowledge of data analysis, for example using Python or equivalent
  • very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • work experience relevant to the role, such as working with support services, balancing or production planning within the energy sector or similar
  • good knowledge in one of the following areas: frequency regulation in the Nordic power system, power system stability, power production, or control systems
  • practical experience in modeling, for example of the power system and its components in Python or equivalent
  • experience in leading and coordinating activities, for example as responsible for a technical area or by leading projects or working groups.

  • Opportunity for remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
  • Business travel may occur to some extent
