Right now, we have many exciting projects underway within water facilities and therefore need to expand our team. We hope that you want to join us on this journey! We are now looking for a lead mechanical designer with technical responsibility within Water Process. Primarily, we are looking for our offices in Sundsvall, Östersund, Umeå, Malmö, Gothenburg, or Stockholm. But your competence is more important to us than where you live, so we welcome applicants from all over the country!

Water Process Within Water Process, we are currently about 30 employees working with municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, biogas plants, and treatment plants for industrial water. We deliver services throughout the entire chain from early stages with idea and feasibility studies, process investigations to process design, project planning, tender documents, commissioning, and operational issues to clients throughout Sweden.

About the role In the role of lead mechanical designer within water process facilities with a focus on piping and process technology, you will become an important part of our effort to strengthen our project operations. You will be responsible for the administration and development of the Plant 3D environment, which includes managing databases and project structures, building and maintaining catalogs and specifications, as well as developing and implementing workflows and templates. You will also provide support and assistance to designers within Plant 3D, ensure standardization and quality assurance of models and drawings, and coordinate between disciplines and manage technical interfaces. Training and support for colleagues within the CAD environment are also part of your responsibilities.

The role combines classic water process design with technical system management of our Plant 3D environment, where you ensure that the tool functions optimally for our projects. There will also be opportunities to broaden your scope within our international network and collaborate with colleagues outside Sweden's borders.

Your profile We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in mechanical design, primarily within water facilities, or alternatively process industry. You have an academic degree with a focus on mechanical engineering or a related technical field. Thus, you are comfortable producing technical tender documents and having a leading role in assignments as a lead designer or technical manager. You have experience in design using AutoCAD programs, such as Plant 3D. We believe you have the ability to standardize working methods, so it is an advantage if you have experience in administering and configuring the program as well as creating and managing piping specifications, catalogs, and databases.

As a colleague, you contribute to a good cohesion and pleasant working environment where participation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange are key concepts. As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and you see good communication as a natural part of your work approach. Furthermore, it is a requirement that you master Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
