We are looking for an Expediting Manager for our client

Job Description

We are looking for someone with extensive experience and competence as an Expediting Manager in large projects.

Here is a description of the tasks you will handle in the role of Expediting Manager in our client's large project BECCS:

• Track and monitor the progress of procurement and contract activities in relation to the project timeline, ensuring they align with the overall project plan.
• Develop and implement action plans to ensure the timely delivery of critical items and services.
• Coordinate with procurement managers, contract managers, suppliers, and contractors to identify and prioritize critical items and resolve any issues affecting delivery schedules.
• Manage the entire supply chain process, including procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Identify key project risks related to the supply chain and develop effective action plans to manage them.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all action activities, including order and inventory records, delivery performance reports, and contract follow-ups.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the supply chain, such as geopolitical risks and suppliers' financial health.
• Provide regular updates to the procurement and contract manager regarding supply chain performance and highlight any risks, issues, or delays.
• Work closely with work package, procurement managers, and other functions to align supply chain activities with overall BECCS goals and timelines.
• Travel for work, primarily within Europe, may occur.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, and contract administration within large-scale CAPEX projects, preferably in construction and infrastructure.
• Strong skills in order tracking, supplier management, and procurement processes.
• Ability to develop and maintain a seamless flow of materials and services.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance, driving adherence to contract terms, and resolving procurement-related issues.
• Ability to manage stressful environments while maintaining focus on timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• In-depth understanding of supply chain principles, methods, and processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in procurement and supplier management.
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
• Fluency in Swedish and English is required. Italian is a plus.
