The Social Administration is responsible for authority exercise, ordering of services, and own management in the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. Your tasks

As a Counselor at the Youth Health Center, your main tasks are to offer counseling, support, and treatment conversations for mild to moderate mental health issues. Services are offered individually and in groups as well as online. To meet the young people's full needs for care and support, there is close collaboration between the Region's and Municipality's employees both internally and externally. As a counselor, you will participate and contribute to the development and quality work of the organization.

The work also includes preventive measures, such as meeting school classes and participating in social forums.

Your workplace

The Youth Health Center Linköping at Repslagaregatan 5 is centrally located, just a five-minute walk from the travel center. We are a safe and open place for young people aged 13-26 who are seeking support and guidance. Here, four counselors from Linköping Municipality collaborate with six midwives from Region Östergötland, and we offer broad and integrated support for young people seeking help in areas such as mental well-being, sexuality, relationships, and health. In the same location, there is also UngaVuxna, a service from Region Östergötland aimed at young adults aged 16-25.

Who you are

It is a requirement that you have a degree in social work or another behavioral science degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is advantageous if you have taken courses in sexology and youth sexuality. Experience in psychosocial treatment work with young people and experience from reception activities with counseling conversations is meritorious. We would also like you to have both experience and knowledge of Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT).

As a person, you are engaged and confident in yourself. You have the ability to adapt your behavior to the situation. You also easily adapt to different situations and are self-driven. It is also important that you have the ability to create and maintain relationships.
