Position as a Method Supervisor within MST Team

The position is located within the Social Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for authority exercise, ordering interventions, and self-management in the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. We ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to.

Your Responsibilities

The Social Administration in Linköping is in the midst of a significant initiative focused on accessible and needs-based support for children and young people and their families, aiming to develop interventions in the home environment of the child/young person. We are looking for someone who wants to help start up and lead an MST team in the role of method supervisor. As an MST method supervisor, you will be responsible for a treatment team consisting of four family therapists/MST therapists. In your role as method supervisor, you will receive the cases assigned to the team and delegate tasks regarding MST interventions to your therapists, inform families and collaboration partners both internally and externally about the intervention. You will provide method supervision to MST therapists weekly, both in writing and verbally.

As a method supervisor, you are responsible for continuously following up, evaluating, and ensuring the quality of the MST work. You are an active support for the therapists in the team and are expected to participate clinically both in family work and in systemic work. Furthermore, you will work on constantly developing the therapists' and your own competencies based on MST guidelines. You will also have administrative responsibility for the statistics that need to be entered into the data support program. You will receive regular support from MST's external consultant regarding the team's and your development plans as well as quality assurance. You will participate in the training sessions that are continuously organized at the national level. You will also attend MST training if you do not already have that competence. For more information about the method, visit www.mstsverige.se (http://www.mstsverige.se).

The MST intervention includes being on call as families have access to support even in the evenings. The work for you as a method supervisor is mainly scheduled during the day, but it may also become relevant for method supervisors with on-call duties to ensure the team's staffing. As a method supervisor, you will also be responsible for the administration related to the team.

Your Workplace

You will be part of a unit that works with needs-based interventions for children and young people within the framework of Enhanced Open Care. Together with other units within the department for Children and Young People, we develop sustainable solutions for children and young people in placement-related situations aged 0-20 years. The workplace is located in central Linköping.

The cases handled are those with a more complex needs profile, and the unit exclusively works with assessed assistance cases. The unit consists of a total of 16 employees divided into a family team and an IHF team (Intensive Home-Based Family Treatment). We are now complementing the operations with an MST team consisting of four family therapists/MST therapists and one method supervisor for the team.
