Position as Family Therapist/MST Therapist
The position is located within the Social Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for authority exercise, ordering services, and self-management in the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. We ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to.
Your Responsibilities
The Social Administration in Linköping is in the midst of a major initiative focusing on accessible and needs-based support for children and young people and their families, aiming to develop interventions in the home environment of the child/young person. We are now looking for four family therapists/MST therapists to be part of our MST team and work with these interventions to create positive change for children and their families.
In the role of social secretary/MST therapist, you will work with adolescents and their families to change norm-breaking behaviors through Multisystemic Therapy (MST). You will use the MST method to strengthen and educate parents while collaborating with schools, leisure activities, and other key actors around the child.
You will be part of a team of three other therapists and a method supervisor. The work is home-based, meaning you will meet families in their homes and collaborate with, for example, the police, schools, and leisure leaders. The team receives supervision every week, and you will get support from experienced colleagues and supervisors to develop within the method. You will also undergo MST training if you do not already have that competence. For more information about the method, visit www.mstsverige.se (http://www.mstsverige.se).
You will work based on a flexible working hours agreement, where working hours are scheduled from 08:00 to 17:00. The position includes on-call duty every fourth week, which means you may need to work evenings, weekends, or nights depending on the families' needs. Otherwise, the working hours are flexible, and you will work independently on your cases while also closely collaborating with other colleagues. Compensation for on-call duty is provided with an additional agreement.
Your Workplace
You will be part of a unit that works with needs-assessed interventions for children and young people within the framework of Enhanced Open Care. Together with other units within the department for Children and Youth, we develop sustainable solutions for children and young people aged 0-20 years who are close to placement. The workplace is located in central Linköping.
The cases handled are those with a more complex needs profile, and the unit exclusively works with assessed assistance cases. The unit consists of a total of 16 employees divided into a family team and an IHF team (Intensive Home-Based Family Treatment). We are now complementing the operation with an MST team consisting of four family therapists/MST therapists and a method supervisor for the team.

Who We Are Looking For
To fit the role, we see that you are a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another education deemed equivalent by the employer. It is advantageous if you have completed psychotherapy training and/or have further education in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU).
Experience in family work, family therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy is a requirement. Further education in systemic theoretical methods or qualified change work is also a plus. It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as consultation and training partially occur in English. A valid driver's license is required as travel is part of the job.
