Social Services

The Social Services are responsible for initiatives, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and we must implement initiatives regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by placing the individual at the center to meet individual needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.

Provider LSS and Social Psychiatry

The Provider LSS and social psychiatry with over 400 permanent employees is a service directed towards children, youth, and adults. We are governed by LSS, SoL, and HSL and have implementation responsibility for initiatives regulated by these laws. The operation is characterized by placing the individual at the center and collaborating to meet individual needs. The operation has a strong customer focus, good service spirit, and provides conditions for cross-border work that is both inspiring and competence-developing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you work to provide support and assistance to users with varying needs due to their disabilities. You work to meet the user's needs based on the granted initiative and implementation plan. The work is based on the LSS value base, which means that the individual's needs, participation, and self-determination are highly valued. As a support assistant, you perform tasks such as care and nursing to help users manage their daily lives and have their needs met. This is done by working with social health-promoting activities such as assistance with daily chores. It may involve being available as verbal support and guiding users in their daily lives while practically supporting them by, for example, shopping, writing lists, structuring the day, cleaning, cooking, or taking care of personal hygiene.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a high school education, care and nursing program, or child and leisure program with a focus on pedagogical and social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
• You have a manual B driver's license.
• Experience in similar work as well as autism competence, clear pedagogical methods, and low-arousal approaches are meritorious.
• You are confident in yourself, stand up for your opinions, and have the courage to speak up when necessary. You have the ability to separate the issue from the person and can feel secure even in uncertain contexts.
• You easily empathize with others' situations. You listen, understand, and show consideration. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions.
• You easily adapt, develop, and learn new things in response to changing demands, conditions, or circumstances. You see opportunities in changes and can also adjust your perspective and approach.
