What we offer

As an economist with us at the Culture and Leisure Administration, you will have a broad and varied area of responsibility within financial work and take operational responsibility for the administration's financial processes. The work includes budgeting, follow-ups, forecasts, year-end accounts, project reporting, calculations, and conducting financial analyses.

An important part of the assignment is to support operational managers in their financial work, act as a partner, and continuously educate them on financial matters. By providing well-founded analyses and decision-making materials, you help the operations achieve their goals in an effective and sustainable manner.

You will be offered a varied position with great responsibility and freedom where both quality and development are at the center. Financial work is governed by the municipality's centrally decided timelines, which means that the work can be more intense during certain periods, for example, during budgeting and year-end accounting.

You will be part of an engaged administrative team and a key player in the administration's management group. The position is directly subordinate to the head of administration. Your workplace is at the cultural center in central Hässleholm, close to both train and bus connections. We also see some remote work as an opportunity.

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with placement according to agreement.

Who are you

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in economics, at least at the bachelor's level
• several years of experience in qualified work as an economist or controller.

Experience in financial work within politically governed operations is an advantage, as is experience in financial management related to organizational development. Knowledge of grant systems and financing of cultural and leisure activities is also an advantage. We prefer that you have a B driver's license so that you can get around the municipality and visit our various operations. You are analytical, solution-oriented, and have good experience working with various IT systems. Knowledge of Office 365 and Unit4 is a plus.

As a person, you are structured and self-driven with the ability to prioritize and plan your work effectively. Since you will be working closely with the administration's managers, good collaboration skills are crucial. You thrive in a role where you can solve problems, create improvements, and contribute to the development of both work processes and operations.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you have numerical ability, a holistic view, and a good understanding of how a politically governed organization works. The work also requires that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing and have the ability to explain economics pedagogically.
