Malmö District Court is one of the largest district courts in the country. Together with other courts in the country, the district court forms the foundation of the judicial system and is a cornerstone of the democratic society.

We are a modern court with committed, responsible, and participative employees. Our operations are characterized by high quality and efficient handling, as well as an open and pleasant working climate.

Our core operations are organized into four divisions – three divisions that handle criminal cases and civil cases, as well as a dedicated criminal division. We also have an administrative department that supports the core operations.

At the court, we have about 160 employees who work together to maintain a fair and efficient administration of justice of high quality. Continuous operational development is conducted within the organization.

The district court is located in a newly built courthouse centrally in Malmö, near the city's central station. The jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Malmö, Vellinge, and Burlöv.

We are now looking for at least one acting judge to be placed in one of our divisions. This may involve both a mixed division and the criminal division. The position, which is full-time, is limited to 12 months. Start date is September 1 or by agreement.

The work involves

As an acting judge, you will work with regular judicial tasks. This means that you will handle all types of cases and matters that occur at the district court, provided that you are placed in a mixed division.
