Cartographer Technician for Our Digital Mapping System

We need reinforcement in our work with surface coating in our digital mapping system and in our project department. If you are a meticulous person with an eye for detail and can work based on trust, this is the right challenge for you!

In this role as a cartographer technician, the work primarily involves furnishing and coating our digital maps using original drawings and aerial photos. Site visits in reality may also be necessary for foundational understanding. We want to be able to work with our work orders and workload measurements based on the map, and therefore our digital mapping system MyCarta needs to be updated.

We are looking for a team member with experience in GIS/CAD programs who wants to help develop our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Updating GIS data using our mapping program MyCarta and our business system Aveny.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education in gardening such as Landscape Engineer or similar.
• Driving license at least B
• Training in Office Suite
• Proficient in Swedish and able to express oneself in speech and writing.
• Experience with CAD and/or GIS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Documented experience with the mapping program MyCarta.
• Experience with cemeteries
• Experience with Aveny Grav

You will be part of the project group within the Customer Service and Project Department, which is a small group of 3 people, where one team member is on parental leave. You will also collaborate with employees in the Strategy and Culture Department, which is responsible for our digital map.

About the Workplace

The Cemetery Administration in Malmö is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the cemeteries within the Malmö parish. In total, there are 18 cemeteries (approximately 150 hectares), eight chapels, and one crematorium. The administrative area includes all cemeteries within Malmö's city limits.
