Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a man in his 35s living in Varberg
• has very good knowledge of Swedish
• has experience in similar work
• has experience communicating using Bliss or similar
• is a good swimmer and can accompany to the swimming pool

It is also meritorious if you:

• have experience with cerebral palsy

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a summer temporary position and is approximately 35% active time + on-call. The job involves around-the-clock work during weekdays and weekends. The temporary position is from week 27 to week 34. Working hours are from 08:30 to 08:30 with 7 hours of sleeping on-call.

Hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are according to collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A requirement to start employment with us at Humana is that you can present a valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
